We’ve been actively servicing the African oil and gas market, both onshore and offshore, for several years so we’re delighted to announce our expansion of these regional operations into Egypt for a new client.

Our first scale control technology installation in Egypt supported an onshore well near the Gulf of Suez. This horizontal well operates with an electric submersible pump (ESP) and relies on a solution gas drive (depletion drive) mechanism for production.

One of the key challenges the well faces is calcite accumulation inside the ESP, leading to repetitive equipment failures, costly intervention, pump replacements, downtime and deferred production. With ClearWELL’s continuous scale protection installed, we look forward to tracking an improved performance profile to demonstrate significant and cumulative benefits for the operator over the long-term.
