ClearWELL participates in a scale inhibition trial on five steam-assisted gravity drainage (SAGD) wells in Alberta.

We’re delighted to be assisting with a scale inhibition trial on five steam-assisted gravity drainage (SAGD) wells in Northern Alberta, Canada.

The wells all suffer with severe calcite scaling on the perforations, pumps and tubing which, to date, has been remediated with traditional acid treatments and pump replacements multiple times each year. The repetitive intervention work is contributing to significant increased OPEX, downtime and production losses, so the operator is keen to explore ClearWELL’s alternative solution.

Our well proven electromagnetic scaleinhibition technology is surface mounted, fast to install and provides continuous protection over the life of the asset. It’s suitable for most types of energy sector wells and is saving millions of dollars for operators around the world.
