Preparing for new offshore installations

22 February 2021

We are pleased to be receiving a large number of enquiries for offshore installations at present and have just returned from our latest North Sea well survey.

Because of the more complex nature of offshore structures, we often carry out a well survey to ensure suitability before installing our technology. The offshore site survey normally follows preliminary research, scale modelling, electromagnetic simulation and a client report to outline our recommended approach.

ClearWELL™ units are surface mounted and continuously transmit an electromagnetic signal downhole. The strength, depth and frequency of this signal can be varied by tuning the surface settings. Before installation, our engineers will visit the wellsite with a portable demo unit to test, record and verify a range of data using different parameters. This will tell us the optimum configuration for each well and ensure that best value and maximum flow assurance is delivered from day one.
